I’m on the team at Granger Community Church as Pastor of Arts and Teaching, which means I have the unbelievable privilege of leading our arts teams in the audacious effort of mustering all the beauty we can conjure to show our world a glimpse of who God is, what He has done, and what He calls us to.  Most days it feels like I have more questions than answers, but art is equally good for the seeking and the declaring.  There was a day when common didn’t mean ‘ordinary’ as much as it meant ‘shared’, and I’m hoping we can share something in the seeking here.

stolen | song by seth bible

Some of you know one of my roommates, Seth Bible.  Saying he's one of my best friends doesn't really cut it... 'brother' is probably a better word.  He's proof that good things come in small packages, because he's 5'6" and 3/4" (in his words), but when he opens his mouth to sing, it's HUGE in heart and sound.

He lives in the basement, which is also where he plays and sings his heart out from time to time.  You can't really hear it in my bedroom, but I really like taking naps on the couch in the living room, and you can definitely hear it there.  Today was a good day for a nap, I thought, until Seth got inspired.  The nap was over.  But it was a good thing.  After getting over the disappointment of a deferred siesta, I told Seth this might be my favorite song of his, and I wanted you to enjoy it, too.
